BATTENLOK SHORTY CRIMPER

The BATTENLOK shorty is a heavy duty roof crimper for the 2 inch or higher, vertical rib panels of which there are several manufactures. This tool can also be used for the LOC-SEAM panel. The short profile makes this tool the prefered crimper on high pitch roofs or facades although the tool can be used on any roof slope and the degree of crimp can be adjusted anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees depending on the panel manufactures recommendations. The degree of crimp can be adjusted by repositioning the crimping stop collar along the crimping rod. The length of crimp is approximately six inches and the total length needed to start the auto seamer is usually specified by the panel manufacturer. The clamping action of the male and female ribs of the panel can be adjusted for the thickness gage of the panel and also for tool wear.
